Stab a cherry tomato with a toothpick and slide to the top.
Take a basil leaf and fold in half or thirds depending on how large. Slide up the toothpick below the tomato.
Finish off the toothpick skewer with a mozzarella ball (if serving upright, don't poke the whole way through so the skewer balances on the mozz ball - otherwise the toothpick will cause it to fall over).
If serving immediately, drizzle with balsamic reduction. If serving over 30+ minutes, store skewers in fridge in airtight container and balsamic reduction in separate container. Wait to drizzle with balsamic until right before serving, otherwise the mozz balls will take on a brownish color.
Pour remaining balsamic reduction in a small bowl when serving for guests who want a drizzle more!
