Hey there! I’m Laura, a registered dietitian by day, and a french-dip dipping, cocktail sipping, lover of all things food and DIY. Waving to you from Fort Collins, CO. I’m so happy you’re here! Come say hi and see more about how we can work together.

I started this blog in my firm belief that there is no fix-all diet, that setting food rules for ourselves can be more harmful to our bodies than the food itself, and that while looking skinny may be appealing, what’s more beneficial is feeling healthy. Nourishing your body is more than just the food we put in it; it’s moving our body, exercising our mind, and not forgetting to find happiness in the day we’re living. I hope you find my content wholesome, nourishing in all of the ways, and something that you can share with your loved ones (whether that be served on a platter or spoken in positivity)!

Joining my love for experimenting in the kitchen and food photography, with my career as a registered dietitian, has allowed me to create the perfect space to connect with my clients and community.

My mission is to get more people cooking in their own kitchens with wholesome ingredients. Think of me as a friend here to cheer you on during your journey to better health! Whether you’re here just for the recipes (totally don’t blame you), needing some encouragement to break food rules, or just looking for some nutrition information, I hope this is a space that you always come back to!

Today, Laura the Dietitian is a food, nutrition, and lifestyle blog, dedicated to sharing nourishing recipes, healthy living tips, and the best of at-home DIY.

Ultimately, my goal is to help you to feel more comfortable in the kitchen and more comfortable in your own skin, no matter what your background.

Every week I share recipes and how-to’s that I make in my own home, made with affordable, simple ingredients and items. For those just looking for the recipe, I get it! That was, and is still, me most of the time! But for those looking for a little extra content on the nutrition side, I’ll be sure to include that too.
